Creating the Future We All Deserve

This Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month has been a time of connection, storytelling, and progress, and our mission extends far beyond this month.

Cerebral palsy is different for everyone and it’s because of its unique and diverse condition that our work affords us the opportunity to solve challenges across the disability community. Whether you were born with a disability, are navigating the changes that come with aging, or your day-to-day life has been altered by an injury, there is a place for you here and in all the work we do at CPARF.

Disability is unique in its fluidity; anyone can become disabled at any point in their life. It’s a shared human experience that touches us all eventually. Because of that, the progress we make today is for everyone and for our future selves.

Innovation as a Universal Spark

When we invest in scientific discovery and innovation, we are building a universal toolkit that empowers millions of people to move through the world with greater ease and agency.

Our work spans the spectrum of possibility. From therapeutic breakthroughs like Biomotum’s wearable robotic orthotics that improve gait and enhance mobility to everyday independence like Blueberry Technology’s BBGo, an autonomous wheelchair that enables  travelers to navigate and explore airports across the country on their own terms, we support startups that improve quality of life.

These advancements, accelerated through CPARF’s assistive technology innovation hub, prove that a solution designed for one person unlocks freedom for many. A more accessible world isn’t a niche requirement. It is a superior design for everyone.

Gratitude for the Body You Have

There is no “should” when it comes to what our bodies can or cannot do. Every body is worthy of respect, joy, and freedom to navigate the world. We celebrate the diversity of human movement, and we are committed to ensuring that technology keeps pace with our community’s needs.

Join us as we bring together gratitude and technology with our friends from Sekond Skin Society for the final Mindful Movement on Monday, March 30 at 6:00 pm ET. This is a live, virtual class on Zoom (don’t worry, you can keep your camera off) where Lee-Anne, the founder of Sekond Skin Society, will guide us through a session on mindfulness and movement for all bodies. It’s a wonderful way to start your week, and we hope to see you there!

Register for March 30th Mindful Movement Monday

Thank you for joining us in creating a world that is more accessible and inclusive  the world we all deserve.

How You Can Help

Make a gift that changes lives now and long into the future. Your donation supports the development and distribution of assistive technology for the most vulnerable among us.

Your gift ensures that those who are most often overlooked receive the assistive tools and transformational research that improves their quality of life and wellbeing. Together, let’s bridge the gap between potential and opportunity.

Will you join us as we build a future that includes everyone?

Banner on the left side, featuring the title “Dating with a Disability: Assistive technologies & the Dateability App are Redefining What's Possible.” The background image shows a joyful couple dressed in colorful, formal clothing. One partner is seated in a wheelchair while the other stands beside them holding flowers and wearing a flowing veil. The image conveys themes of love, celebration, and disability inclusion.

When we innovate, we do more than solve design problems; we open the door for people to live with deeper confidence and the freedom to pursue connections that matter most.

A large group of smiling conference attendees pose together at CES on the Startup Stage, many wearing badges and shirts that reference disability innovation. A purple text overlay reads, “Accessibility as the Standard, Not the Exception — January 2026,” alongside the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation logo.

Our team started the new year under the neon lights of Las Vegas, attending CES 2026, but the brightest thing we saw wasn’t the Strip — it was the future of accessibility.
