Help Us Build Something That Actually Works for Everyone

Introducing the Disability Tech Index — a free, searchable database of assistive technology, built by and for the community it serves.

For most people who are navigating disability, finding the right assistive technology feels like guesswork. There’s no trusted, centralized resource. No way to filter by specific needs. No system for tracking what didn’t work and why. People are left starting from zero over and over. That constant restart isn’t just exhausting; it chips away at your sense of control.

The Problem We’re Solving

The assistive technology landscape is vast, fragmented, and hard to navigate — even for professionals. Individuals with disabilities, their families, and the people who support them deserve a better starting point. They deserve a resource that reflects real-world experience, not just product listings.

Right now, that resource doesn’t exist. We’re building it.

What Is the Disability Tech Index?

CPARF is creating the Disability Tech Index: the first free, public, searchable database of assistive technology. It will show:

  • What assistive technology currently exists
  • What works — and for whom
  • What’s still missing from the marketplace

Unlike anything before it, the Disability Tech Index will be built by the people it’s designed to support. That’s not just something we believe. It’s how we work.

Why Your Voice Matters

This isn’t a checkbox form. It’s a 10–15 minute conversational AI interview that captures all the nuances of your experience: what you’ve tried, what helped, what fell short, and what you’re still looking for.

People with disabilities, caregivers, and professionals are all encouraged to participate, because every perspective strengthens the Index and makes it more useful for the millions of people who will rely on it.

Your voice can transform possibilities for people you’ll never meet. We are thrilled you want to be part of this incredible opportunity.

How to Participate

  • Visit disabilitytechindex.org
  • Complete the 10–15 minute conversational AI interview
  • Receive free access to the Index when it launches

Participate now at disabilitytechindex.org →

The Index will only be as strong as the community behind it. We’re grateful you’re here.

Overlaid text reads: “Mental Health Awareness Month — You Are Not Invisible: Mental Health, Disability, and the Care We All Deserve” alongside the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation logo.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month — a time to slow down, speak honestly, and remind ourselves that everyone deserves support, to be seen, and to feel whole.
