Join us for our next Disability Tech Talk about wheelchair-accessible workouts on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 6:00 pm ET with Steve Ferreira and Tyler Susko.

The webinar will explore why it’s important to make workouts wheelchair accessible, how Steve and Tyler have worked together to create a new way for wheelchair users to work out, and additional ways to adapt workouts to make them accessible for wheelchair users.

Steve Ferreira is the Executive Director and Founder of “Beyond Disabilities”. As a motivational speaker with cerebral palsy and a wheelchair user, Steve works to bridge the gap between disability, accessibility, and athletics.

Dr. Tyler Susko is the Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Cadense, an adaptive footwear company inspired by a person with cerebral palsy, focused on creating solutions for people with disabilities and those with walking difficulties. The shoes work by reducing frictional forces and adapts to uneven surfaces, ensuring a smooth walking experience.

Dr. Susko received his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is an Associate Professor of Teaching at the University of California Santa Barbara.
