Move CP Research Forward for Logan

Wed 15 Mar 2023

Logan used to fall after every few steps she took. Because she was so unsteady, she couldn’t get up from a couch or a chair, and she wasn’t able to climb stairs. Then her mom, Breanna, got a fateful phone call about a life-changing clinical trial for SpineX’s noninvasive technology.

Logan has left-sided hemiplegic cerebral palsy and her mom was nervous because “she was one of the youngest people in the trial, and she also has seizures. I was worried that she wouldn’t be able to follow instructions, but she did — and the team accommodated her.” As a result of her hard work in the trial, Logan uses her left arm more frequently, she has better balance, she can climb stairs, and she can run.

Breanna is especially excited that her daughter “doesn’t hurt herself falling as much, so she can keep up with her siblings and friends and that her social circle has expanded.”

Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation knows that movement is just one part of life and we support projects like SpineX to change what’s possible for children like Logan in every way we can. Donate today so that we can keep making a difference.
